Legacy Architects allows clients to have separate logins for spouses or couples to a single client vault. There are multiple ways to establish this feature.
Option 1: Contact account creation:
When your contact registers and creates their Legacy Architects account, there will be an option for them to add the separate spouse account.
On the account creation page of Legacy Architects, if your contact picks "married" in marital status, a question will appear at the bottom. "Will you be creating a joint estate plan with your spouse?" Answering yes will allow you to enter your spouse's email address and send an invitation to their email address.
Putting a check mark on this box will allow your contact to create a separate log-in for their spouse. They will need to put their spouse's email address in the spouse part of the registration page, and our system will also send them an activation link to create their secure password to access their Legacy Architects account.
Note: Make sure you put a check in the box in "Send an account activation email to them."
Option 2: Send invitation using your Legacy Architects law firm account:
Create a new vault by clicking the "Create vault" button:
Enter your client's information, and select the marital status to married or with life partner, then select yes for the question: Will they be creating a joint estate plan with their spouse? Put a tick mark to the option: "Send an account activation email to them." and enter the spouse's email address.
Note: That the email address needs to be unique for the primary and spouse account. Legacy Architects uses the email as the account identifier, and login credential.
Option 3:
If a vault was created and it is created as a single vault by mistake by a client, you can still change this to a joint account and invite the spouse to grant them access to the joint account.
Click the Vault button on the top then select the client vault you're going to work on:
Change the Vault Type to "Joint":
Click the green envelope button that will appear under the spouse's name in the client dash board:
Click the Update Email option in the pop-up window, then enter and confirm the spouse's email address and click save email:
Click the Send Link button to send the invitation to the spouse:
